The International Special Training Facility is highly focused on developing tactical and technical products for you, from start to finish, via our own concepts or yours. Our design cell offers rapid prototyping of operational ready products, electronics & equipment.
The detailed product phase uses advanced CAD software and 3D modelling confirming the precise technical specifications are manufacturable.
Finally, we select the product material, colour and finish ensuring it meets all functional & operational requirements, before moving into production.

We will work in collaboration with you to create a range of innovative concepts, exploring solutions to identify the most ‘fit-for-purpose’ solution. Our in-house electronics engineers can develop software capabilities if required, before moving into the detail product phase.

Finally, we select the product material, colour and finish ensuring it meets all functional & operational requirements, before moving into production.

RAPID PROTOTYPING IS OUR THING
Getting it right at this stage is critical for all product development, our design cell will work closely with you at each stage taking a hands-on approach enhancing your prototype until fully functional, tested and ready for production.
Prototypes enable us to stress test the concept in controlled environments and if needed re-design or refine areas so that we deliver a product that you can rely on when it counts.
Throughout the design and development stages of your concept to product, it’s important to reassure you that all intellectual properties will remain with you on project completion.
CUSTOMISED NON-ATTRIBUTABLE TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS
We retain the in-house capability to develop customised software and hardware to create covert and non-attributable technical products ready for deployment.
Our professional working knowledge of systems and technology such as: RF & LoRa, cellular technology, satellite, GPRS, WIFI, Bluetooth and writing code with Linux and Python allows us to offer you a vast number of technical solutions.
In today’s world the requirement for more discreet, unknown and ‘unseen technology’ has never been in such demand. With our expertise we have developed many successful customised and bespoke intelligence gathering devices to the end user group.

ENSURING DURABILITY
We have experience working with many different materials, all carefully selected at the development stages to ensure durability, weight reduction without compromising strength, flexibility and rigidity are all factors considered.
Once suitable materials have been selected, we then look at its ability to be reproduced successfully, what we do not want to do is create additional costs at the production stage.

Plastics: Polymers, resins, nylons, fibres, acrylics, UPVC, laminates
Textiles: Mil-spec laminates, coated nylons, mesh, acrylics, cottons, IR reflective
Coatings: Thermoplastic or thermoset polymer textured & smooth powder, anodising, acrylic, inks and dies
IN-HOUSE & DISCREET
With various production methods at our disposal, we can ensure your product will be manufactured to the highest standard, using Optum materials and the latest technology from any of the following:
METAL: 4Kw CNC Laser cut metal capabilities, CNC sheet metal folding, 5 & 3 Axis CNC milling machine, Lathe machine, Welding and fabrication MIG, TIG, Stud, spotwelding & brazing.
PLASTIC: Stereolithography SLA 3D printing technology, SLS for functional parts, fused deposition modelling FDM, carbon 3D printing for durability, large format solid, colour and transparent 3D print 800 x 800 x 600, and vacuum forming.
TEXTILES: CNC laser cutting capabilities, heat transfer lamination, professional sowing and over-locking machines, fabric laser ink printing.
